Frequently Asked Questions

Q: “How does one sensor do all that work?”

A: You need to train the sensor in the training mode tab. There, it will walk you through how to train it, and it will make an educated guess as to which pipe is running.

Q: “How much does the system cost?”

A: It usually costs about $100 for everything, which is the cheapest system on the market, with a recommended addition of about $100 dollars for installation.

Q: “What does it include?”

A: It includes just one flow meter and a Raspberry Pi, which is basically a tiny computer.

Q: “Where do we install it?”

A: You or an installer should put the sensor on the main water line, near the shut off valve. The Raspberry Pi should close enough to be connected to the sensor, but far enough to not get wet.
